FAQ

VPS hosting questions, answered.

What is a VPS server?

A virtual private server is a virtual machine with its own operating system and a share of a physical server. Our KVM VPS gives you kernel control, snapshots, VPC and IPv6 on NVMe Gen4 storage.

What’s the difference between a VPS and a VDS?

A KVM Cloud VPS shares burstable cores, which suits web stacks, microservices and staging. A VDS pins every core to you, with no throttling, even at 100% load. Compare them side by side.

When do I need a dedicated server?

When you want a whole physical machine: single-tenant, with no hypervisor overhead. Our dedicated servers have 8 to 64 Intel Xeon cores with IPMI included, from ₹8,999 a month. See dedicated servers.

Can I get a Linux or Windows VPS?

Yes. Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Debian 12, AlmaLinux 9, Rocky Linux 9, Arch Linux and Alpine Linux, or Windows Server 2022, all at no extra cost: the Windows licence is free for the first 180 days, then yours to arrange. Or bring your own ISO.

Where are your servers located?

Mumbai (MUM-01) and Delhi NCR (DEL-01), both Tier III with N+1 power. Pick the region nearest your users.

Is DDoS protection included?

Yes. Layer 3–7 DDoS protection is included with every VPS and VDS, at no extra cost.

How much does a VPS server cost in India?

A KVM VPS starts at ₹446.40 per 30 days, with 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 20 GB NVMe and 5 TB of transfer, and a VDS at ₹1,000.80. Servers are billed by the hour, and the price updates as you choose cores, memory, storage and transfer. Prices exclude 18% GST and show in INR by default.
